Cultural Diversity and Inclusion

Our organization is committed to upholding ethnic, linguistic, and cultural diversity in Nigeria as a leeway to promoting democratic and leadership inclusiveness. If the inclusive practice worked in Canada, it should work in Nigeria, hence this bilateral initiative.

As a multi -cultural, multi ethnic and multi- lingual society, we recognize the ideological beliefs upheld among the peoples of Nigeria and appreciate and respect the cultural behaviors and presence of people from diversified ethnic groups.

Nigeria is a very ethnically diverse country with 371 ethnic groups, the largest being the Hausa, Yoruba, and the Igbo. Over 500 languages are spoken among its about 230 million people. 

At NICONPPL, we encourage every ethnic group to participate in the democratic process as seen in Canadian society and engage in cultural and linguistic awareness programmes in order to preserve their traditional heritage.
