What is NICONPPL?

Nigerians in Canada on Public Policy and Leadership is for all concerned African citizens, particularly those interested minds with bright ideas from Nigeria as the giant of Africa.

Our goal is to positively influence international, cultural, and social mandates that will continue to preserve African rich culture, natural resources, and social mandates.

NICONPPL is to Africans in diaspora and beyond, what the Carnegie Endowment is to European countries. It is also what the West African Think Tank (WATHI) is to West American countries.

Their vision, which is that of peaceful, dignified, productive, and supportive societies in West Africa and open to all regions of the African continent and the world.

NICONPPL, as a not for profit entity, promotes democratic values worldwide and never in alliance with any political parties in any country and, therefore, can be called upon to serve as an unbiased election monitoring body.

Our approach is to positively influence and generate strategic ideas for African safety and security. Preserve their natural resources against exploitation and protect notable institutions known to deliver national, regional, and global equity.

The grand arrival of the Royal Father of the Day at the Nigerians in Canada on Public Policy and Leadership 2026 Black History Month Event was marked by dignity, pride, and cultural splendor.

His Highness, Ezeigbo Nkem-Alakammadu Diogu, the revered Onyendu / Onunaekwuru Igbo Gburugburu na Canada, made a distinguished entrance befitting his esteemed traditional office. His presence symbolized unity, heritage, and the enduring strength of the Igbo spirit within the Nigerian-Canadian community.

As the custodian of culture and a pillar of leadership in the diaspora, his attendance elevated the significance of the occasion, reinforcing the values of identity, public service, and collective advancement celebrated during Black History Month.

It was indeed a moment of honor, pride, and cultural affirmation for all in attendance.

What is Our Purpose?

Nigerians in Canada on Public Policy and Leadership will be spearheading a massive program worldwide titled "African Diaspora Political and Leadership Initiative". It will include all bright minds that the world has to offer.

The purpose, just like the Samoa Agreement, would be as follows:

To promote sustainable development in Africa through qualitative leadership.
To galvanize mass participation of African diasporas in political and leadership development in Africa.
To promote political and economic development in Africa.
To promote information and education about leadership and good governance in Africa.
To network with sister international and local organizations in encouraging growth and development of Africa through sustainable political and economic leadership.
